DAWN COUCKE - B.A.T.D - Principal 


I.D.S owner and Principal Dawn is a member of the British Association of Teachers of Dance and has been dancing from an early age. She has performed on stage for many years and has been teaching dance and Choreography in various countries enabling her to bring vast experience to her own performing arts school. Dawn is also a very accomplished Choreographer and has created pieces for the stage and dance exam work; she is regularly invited by various dance schools to adjudicate dance competitions. Dawn is qualified to teach Tap, Modern, Jazz and put pupils through their teachers exams. She has created a school with a unique style of teaching and motivates our pupils to achieve the best they can give.


GEMMA THOMPSON - B.A.T.D - Dance Teacher


Gemma has been dancing and performing from an early age and she qualified as a BATD teacher at 18. She has been teaching in various dance and theatre schools across the country and has been a valued member of I.D.S since it opened. Gemma is also a Choreographer and has created pieces for the stage and dance exam work. She has a lot of experience teaching children of all ages and is BATD qualified in Tap, Modern, Ballet and Jazz and is also qualified to work with children.  



LINDSEY PAINTER - Dance Coach & Acro Teacher

Lindsey started dancing at a young age and has won many regional and national dance championships. 

She pursued a career in dance performing in the UK at various venues including a range of roles in Pantomimes.

She is very passionate about dancing and is very happy she can pass on her enthusiasm and knowledge to the pupils of the

Ingleby dance school.  She teaches Tap, Modern, Ballet, Jazz and Acro (fully quaified with the institute of Acrobatic Arts), Lindsey also creates show numbers for I.D.S performances.



SAM READMAN - Music and Vocal Coach

Sam has had a long journey with I.D.S, she started dancing with the school from about the age of 6 and found her passion for singing during this time, 

a very shy girl that has grown into a great performer and singing teacher, Sam also performs around the UK at various venues. 

Sam is also offering private lessons and recording sessions.

AMANDA POUNDS - Teacher Assistant

Amanda has a real passion for dance and the way I.D.S works with the pupils, she herself has been dancing from a very young age and has competed with the best dancers nationwide and has won many regional and national dance titles. She assists the teachers and every activity I.D.S organises, 

she loves being part of the team.


VAL ROBINSON - Administration and Costumes

Val has been a familiar face in the dancing world for many years creating costumes for dance competitions, having had an early career as a figure roller-skater she toured and worked in the USA for a while. She creates dance routines and on occasion still performs herself with amateur dramatics group "Centre Stage". As part of the I.D.S staff she designs and crafts the costumes used in the performances and takes care of a lot of the administration work. Val loves being involved with the school and keeps Dawn (her daughter) in check ! 


ANGELO COUCKE - Technical and Artistic Direction

Angelo has been involved in entertainment, including dance, drama and theatre for many years, and had a career as an entertainer manager travelling to different countries around the globe.  Many moons ago during a contract he met Dawn who was the Choreographer in charge of shows at a famous Austrian ski resort. Dawn and Angelo have been together ever since and form a great team that help to strengthen the schools success. 

Angelo helps to create the shows and is the I.D.S technical director.
